An advent jigsaw

Winter Evening in the Town combines two Christmas traditions in one box: an advent calendar and a jigsaw puzzle. It's a lovely choice for a household that likes a project on the table over the festive season.

Advent candles

An advent candle is one of the oldest ways to count down to Christmas. The candle is marked with the days from 1 to 24. Each evening, you light it and let it burn down to the next number.

It's a quiet ritual, and a nice way to finish the day. We stock three designs: Choir Boys in blue, Choir Boys in red, and Snowmen.

A safety note: as with any candle, never leave an advent candle burning unattended, and keep it well away from decorations and curtains.

Buy early

Advent begins on 1 December, so your calendar needs to arrive before then. We recommend ordering in October or early November, especially if you're sending one interstate or as a gift.

A gift that starts Christmas early

An advent calendar makes a thoughtful gift for grandchildren, friends or a colleague. It arrives before the rush and gets opened every day for 24 days. Few gifts get that much attention.
