Some Christmas ornaments blend into the tree. December Diamonds ornaments do the opposite.
We bring December Diamonds to Australia, and they’re unlike anything else we stock. They’re bold, colourful and a little cheeky. I think that’s what makes them so popular.
The mermen started it
December Diamonds is best known for its mermen. The Fresh Cut merman ($69.90) is a good place to start. Sk8r Boy($79.00) puts a merman on a skateboard, which makes about as much sense as it sounds. It works anyway.
Mr Unicorn sold out quickly, which tells you how keen collectors are.
Mermaids and more
The Miss Flamingo mermaid ($69.90) is pink and fun. Santa’s Head Baker ($79.00) is a mermaid in the bakery, ready for the Christmas rush.
The Poke the Bear pieces add a sporting touch. There’s a Rugby version and a Snow Board version, both at $79.00. If someone in your family follows rugby, this is a gift they’ll remember.
What A Drag
The What A Drag series ($89.00) is where December Diamonds truly lets go. Lady Di Amond and Miss Aqua Bluesare glamorous, theatrical and very hard to ignore. These are the ornaments people ask about when they visit.
Not just for December
Most of our customers don’t pack these away in January. December Diamonds ornaments look good on a bookshelf, a mantelpiece or a bathroom shelf all year.
That’s part of their value. You’re buying a small piece of décor that happens to hang on a tree for one month.
A word on stock
We carry 10 December Diamonds designs. That’s a deliberately small range, and it changes as pieces sell out. If one catches your eye, I wouldn’t wait too long.
They make a great gift for someone who collects, someone who loves colour or someone who says they don’t need any more ornaments. They usually do.
